Review | Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Hello lovelies

I've recently started to use the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour foundation, I have mine in the shade Light Porcelain 010.

There has been two new versions of this foundation, I have the original. I find this version to be very hit and miss for me. I'm not sure how the new one is but it would be interesting to see if I have the same results with he new one. I find that if I don't put a primer under this it starts to go very patchy around my cheeks throughout the day. Bearing in mind this is supposed to have a built in Aqua primer and has long lasting promises, this doesn't really show them.

On the plus side, the coverage is medium to build-able so it hides any imperfections and doesn't look cakey. Although, when I first apply this the shade suites my skin tone perfectly. But after about 4 hours of wearing this I get a slightly darker shade of orange tinge to my face. I did think it was the powder I was using ive tried it with the stay matte powder form Rimmel the spot clearing one and the MUA pressed face powder and on a non powdered face and it still turnes a darker shade.

The new version may be more promising so I'm not giving up hope yet!

My favourite lipstick look!!

Hello lovelies

I've just come out of a very lush themed shower and I smell sooo good! Anyways, today I thought I would share with you my favourite lipstick look that I have been wearing all the time since I've got the products.

This look is a pink almost slightly light purple nude lip colour, for the lipstick I use the Mac Creme De La Femme lipstick (this is a frost finish), I cannot explain to you how in love with this lipstick I am, I have a big collection of lippies and I've never used any one lipstick so much! It's moisturising, long lasting and the colour is just my perfect colour!

Then to add more shine and to make my lips look fuller I add some Barry M lip gloss in shade 12. This is a light pink shade with a few sparkles inside and goes beautifully over the Mac Creme De La Femme.

Annd ta da my perfect lip is created! If you like a pink glossy lip try this look out!

Makeup Revolution | The One Foundation | First Impressions

Hello Lovelies!

A bit of a back story to this foundation, I has previously got the a few months ago in a Makeup Revolution haul. But for some reason this foundation got put to the back of my makeup collection and I think I've only ever used this once.

So I feel like I'm trying this one out all over again and I never really had any proper thoughts on this when I first tried this. I have this in Shade 4 which is a shade too dark for me, if I where to get this foundation again I would go for Shade 3.

However, I don't think I'll be repurchasing this again let alone using it. Now I never like to be negative about a product and I do like to see the positive side to everything but on this occasion I'm struggling. First of all I find this constancy very runny, it's almost like water with a little bit of colour to it, so it runs around on the back of your hand if you pour too much out. The coverage? Well I don't think this really has a coverage its more of a very very very sheer tint to the skin. Like I said i like to find a positive in everything, so if you already have good skin or you like an uber sheer coverage you would like this.

I'm afraid to say this one isn't "The One" for me.

Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation Review!

Hello lovelies!

Now I am very late getting on the trend with this foundation. I think this is because when this first came out my I knew my skin would hate this, as a had very oily skin and this is a very dewy foundation. however, now my skin is dry with an oily T-zone so I felt like I could pull this foundation off a lot better.

When I first applied this to my skin I found that it is very easy to blend and doesn't fit on top of the skin it looks seamless. Coverage wise a lot of people say this is a light coverage, however I defiantly wouldn't say this is full coverage but I do have lighter coverage foundations in my makeup collection. I think it's how you apply this one, if you use one pump then the coverage will be very sheer but if you build it up to two pumps or coats I find this builds up to a medium coverage.

I'm not normally a fan of foundations that have any sent to them, but this one I don't mind, the fragrance is plesent and you can't smell this once applied to your skin. The finish is lovely, if you like your foundation to look glowy this will be perfect for you. Whenever I wear this it makes my skin look so illuminated and no so dull and grey looking. I think this is going to be a very loved foundation for the this coming spring/summer.

This lasts about 6 hours on me with powder and I finx that this foundation doesnt go patchy or smear either. Im in the shade 100 Ivory.

The Rimmel London Wake me up foundation retails for £8.99

Primark Haul!!!

Hello guys!

So yesterday I had a trip to PRIMARK!! (Ahhhh!) and here are the bargains I picked up!

I've been really wanting a foe leather jacket but not in black or grey in either a pink or cream colour. Well when I got there I instantly saw this pink jacket (uber girly!) so straight away I popes it in my basket. But then, as I was searching the rails of primarni I found a cream jacket and guys, we had a problem, pink or cream? So I got both! The pink jacket cost £25 and the cream one cost just £18!

Next, I really needed some basic black high waisted skinnies and for a tenner they fit the bill perfectly. My ones from Topshop looked more grey than black and for nearly £40 a pair I wasn't prepared to pay that much for jeans that faded so fast, so Primark wins again!

Finally, I got a pair of cream ballet pumps, perfect for spring and a colour that will suit any outfit, these little beauts were £4

What's On My Nails | Week 5

Hello everyone!

This week on my nails I've been wearing Collection Lasting Gel Colour nail varnish in the shade Chiffon Haze. This has gel like technology meaning that this will last longer than normal varnish and will be a bit more glossier. This shade is a light pink shade with a metallic finish. I think this is such a pretty natural "grown up" colour, perfect for the office!

Mini Makeup Haul!!

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I have a mini makeup haul for you all from Collection!

I picked up

Lasting Perfection Concealer | Fair 1

Every much loved beauty product in the blogging world. Who doesn't love this?! Great coverage, no creasing, long lasting, perfect colour match for me and it's cheap! A repurchase! (Says it all!)

Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream

If you love a matte lip, but don't want the dry feel, try this!! This is a hybrid lip cream/lipstick that looks. The formula is super creamy and beautiful and soft to apply to the lips, the pigmentation is amazing and this is matte but without drying out your lips the feels so velvet soft. Also, with other matte lips creams I've tried I felt like halfway through the day they would crack and flake off leaving me with uneven messy lips. But this stays put all day long and doesn't fade, perfect! I have previously tried one of these before in a plum/pink shade and I loved it so much I decided to pick this up. The shade is a red but it isn't an "in your face red" it's a toned down, easy to wear red. If that makes sense?

Big Fake Curves Mascara

After trying the original "Big Fake" (the one with red packaging) and loving it, I decided to pick up the "Big Fake Curves" I really hope this gives me the flirty fun lashes that the original did and I can't wait to see how well this hold a curl, fingers crossed!

Overall I really like Collections range of products they're affordable and amazing quality. What are your most used Collection products?

Body Shop Haul!

Hello guys!

Today I have a haul from The Body Shop. I just poped in as I needed some new skin care bits and I though I would share with you guys what I got.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion | 50ml £8

This is a repurchase for me. Give light hydration to the skin, whilt keeping oil at bay and preventing any blemishes.

Tea Tree Cool and Creamy Wash | 100ml £5

This is supposed to give an effect wash with tea tree without of drying the skin as this is a cream product instead of a foam or gel based cleanser.

Tea Tree Facial Toner | 250ml £5

This facial toner looks at those it has two parts if that makes any sense, there's a watery green part and a white cream part and when shaken this bindes the two parts together and "activates" the toner. I'm really looking forwards to use this. Also, this was free, as I have a MyBeauty card which is a loyalty and discount card every time you make a purchase at the body shop you get a percentage taken of that purchase then you get a heart ticked on some hearts there are free gift and today I got my first gift of £5 yaaay!

Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion | 30ml £9

This is a repurchase for me, I love this stuff and I cannot go without it in my routine, it's very quickly become a staple for me. This does help blemishes to fade and heal and gives moisture to the skin but still leaving a matte finish to the skin.

What are your body shop favourites?

My Mascara Routine

Hello guys

Here I have my mascara routine for you!

I find it interesting to see how other people apply their mascara and their little routines as mascara is such a staple beauty product and part of any beauty routine, it's fun to see what other products are out there, how they work for other people and the different steps and ways of applying it.

So step one, I curl my eyelashes with the Boots own brand eyelash curler, I curl my lashes for about 30 seconds on each eye and do like a pulsing action as the 30 seconds is coming to an end.

Step two, something I should mention, I don't use just one mascara I have 3 I used in total. This first mascara is like my base coat and gets the ball rolling. I use the Seventeen Va Va Voom mascara. As this gives an even coating to my lashes and seperates them.

Step three, I apply the L'orel Miss Manga Mascara to add volume to my lashes this also does a good job at separating my lashes too. I like the wand this has, as its flexible and a good sized brush so I can really work the product into the root of my lashes, allowing them to gain lots of volume.

Finally, I add the Rimmel London Lash Exellerator mascara to add length to my lashes. The wand is a plastic like wand with small evenly seperates comb bits (I'm not sure what you would call them, apologies) so this helps to de-clump and fan my lashes out.

Please comment below any wonder products in you mascara routine, I would love to know what works well for you guys!

The Body Shop | Tea Tree BB Cream

Hello guys!

Today I have a review for you of the Body Shop's Tea Tree BB Cream. Back in September time (or around then) I developed a love for BB cream! I love the idea that's it's full of skin loving ingredients and that its providing some coverage.

My personal preference of coverage in my base makeup has changed in the last year, this time last year I wouldn't have touched a BB cream, and would have stuck by a full coverage foundation, my favourite being Seventeens Stay Time Foundation, which is very very full coverage and matte. But now I have found myself dappling into the world of BB creams even more, I'm really likeing the light, natural, corvage they provide.

So onto the review! As the name suggests this little one has tea tree inside it, which my skin has being liking as I haven't had any major breakouts or issues with this. This has really really impressed me about this BB cream is that the "Light" shade is actually light not slightly tan and orange. As some BB creams that are advertised as "Light" look very orange. So thumbs up for the shade!

The consistency is very cream and is very easy to blend. Once applied this gives a comfortable matte finish, meaning it keeps oil at bay but makes my skin feel breathable and not so mask-like.

A lovely lovely BB cream coming in at £8.00

What's On My Nails | Week 4

Hello guys!

This week on my nails I'm wearing the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in the shade Papaya 433

This is a gorgeous pastel orange colour that reminds me of spring. I find that the Gelly hi shines always have good colour pay off and last for a considerable about of time for the price. I think this colour would look amazing with a tan, yet another Barry M love!

Whats On My Nails? | Week 3

Hello Guys,

Whats on my nails this week?

Well, I wanted to go for a colour that was a little more muted and less "in your face". As for the past few weeks I've been wearing very bold colours and I thought a turn in shades would be appropriate. I have Barry M Nail Paint in Cappuccino 341 on my nails this week. This is like a milky brown colour and even tho it may not look much in the bottle, I feel like this shades suites any out fit I wear.
