March Favourites

Hello guys!

How is it nearly April? I swear that the months are just gong by faster these days. Here are some products that I have been loving throughout the month of March.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

As the months are getting warmer I prefer my base to be lighter and more luminous. The lumi magique foundation is perfect for achieve a lighter coverage and a bright luminous face.

I <3 Makeup Naked Chocolate Bar Pallet

I am in love with this pallet! It's full of wearable everyday shimmery and matte nude shades. The pigmentation of the shadows of is so good for such an adorable pallet and they last all day.

Mac Creme De La Femme Lipstick

I love this lipstick for everyday wear. It is a perfect nude/ your lips but better colour, a pinky shimmery colour that glides on and give your lips a pretty sheen. I got this lipstick just after Christmas and I've nearly hit the bottom of it, it's very well loved! (Formulation is frost).

Rimmel London Stay Matte (Clarifying)

The Rimmel London Stay Matte power is a stable in many makeup bags and I also share a love for the powder. It's so cheap yet so effective, I have the clarifying formula (the one in the blue packaging) and I feel like this doesn't clog up my pores or make me look cakey.

Loreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara
I have loved this mascara ever since it came out I'm already on mg second tube it makes my lashes go from ehh to wow!

P.S I am aware that when I took the picture for this monthly favorites I forgot go incudle the Rimmel Stay Matte Powerder, sorry! But I figured everyojd by now knows what that powder looks like, right?

The Body Shop Seaweed Creamy Clenser

Hello guys!

I've been wanting to try a different range of cleaning product from The Body Shop other than the Tea Tree range. So I opted for the Sea weed purify facial cleanser.

This cleanser is for peopled with oily to combination skin. As this will take away any additional oil without over drying the skin as this is as very creamy cleanser.

I really didn't expect this to smell as gold as it does! It smells like a very fresh purfume!  I dont think I've ever had a cleanser that smells good enough to be a perfume before!

Overall, Im really enjoying this cleaner,of makes my face feel sleep soft, clean and refreshed and no dried out. Even though this is a creamy cleanser it sprang clog up my pores because its oil free.

TANtastic!

Hello guys!

I've found a fake tanner I adore!

In the past I've had spray tans and tried tanning mousse but this bottle of sunshine is amazing! Without fake tan I'm a very ghostly pale colour, normally the lighted Rimmel foundation is too dark for my pale skin. So when it comes to fake tan I don't want to look 10 shades darker than what I am. This gradual self tanner makes my skin about 2 or 3 shades darker, nothing scary but I can tell I have a tan going on. This makes my skin look healthy and full of life, as this also contains Shea Butter and Vitimin E to moisturise and care for the skin.

Ok, I really need to tell you what fake tanner I'm talking about, right? It's the Sunkissed Gradual Lotion in the shade Light. I do believe there a two shades light and medium. This is a creamy white lotion that you apply to you skin like a moisturizer and a few hours later a lovely golden tan will developed. The idea of this is that you can build up the tan gradually so you can control how tan you want to be. I usually reapply this every 4/5th day with a tanning mit so the application is streak free and so I don't get too much of the lotion on my hands.

THE SMELL! usually fake tanners smell like old biscuits but not this one!! This smells like tropical coconuts! I'm really enjoying this product it builds a good colour, nourishes the skin and smells amazing and is pretty cheap retailing at only £3.99

Makeup Revolution Haul!!!

Finally after five whole days of waiting very patiently my Makeup Revolution order arrive **whoop!!!**

Makeup revolution are just on it at the moment, bringing out so ,any new products and shades at lightening pace and all such good quality for an incredibly adorable price.

The first thing I ordered was the Naked Chocolate eye shadow pallet. I was so excited to get this pallet, it's been on my wish list for a while now and seeing so many people reave about it, I just had to get it! The chocolate bar pallets from Makeup Revolutions I <3 Makeup ranges are supposed to be all dupes of the chocolate bar pallets from Two Faced. I think this does have a slight sweet sent to the pallet (that could just be my imagination) and there is a good mix of colours all more natural everday colours there both shimmers and matte shades in this pallet. I can see this pallet becoming a staple in my everyday makeup routine. This retails at £7.99

I wanted to try a Lip Lava, I'm a sucker for new lip products and knowing that they are dupe for the Too Faced Melted Lipstick I thought it would be worth picking up one to give it a try. The shade I picked up is Tremor a subtle your lips but better pink shade. This retails at £2.99

I also picked up a blush. I ordered the Blushing Hearts in the shade Bursting With Love. This is yet another dupe for a Too Faced product. This is a light, baked shimmery blush, with three different colours in the heart shape. There's a highlight colour and two different pink shades, I think I might swirl all the shades together to create a luminous glowy flush of pink on my cheeks. This retails for £4.99

The last item I ordered was the Iconic Pro 2, I was stuck between this pallet or getting the original chocolate bar pallet. But I opted for this one (I will be ordering the original chocolate bar soon tho!) this is dupe for the Lorac pallet that has just been released. With this pallet comes the new formulation of eyeshadows and a brush from the new Make up Revolution brush range.

Let me know if you want me to do some tutorials, first impressions or reviews on these items. I'm sure they will become firm favourites of mine!

Also!! I popped into my local Superdrug the other day and Makeup Revolution is now being stock there, yaaaaaay!!!!!

Dark Nude Lips Tutorial!

Hello guys!

I've recently being trying to experiment with different lip colours and effects. And with a bit of inspiration from the Jenner lips look,  I created this nude darker lips tutorial.

I started by preping my lips first using Maybellines Baby Lips in Hydrate this is my favorite one! I find it super useful to apply a lip balm of some form for this lip look because the next product I'm going to apply is a lip liner all over the lips and this may dry the lips out a little if there was no lip balm underneath.  Plus, I find it helps the other lip products I'm going to use to apply smoothly.

So the lip liner that I apply is the Elizabeth Arden Smooth Line Lip Liner in the shade Taupe 03 this shade is perfect for a darker nude lip! It doesn't look to dark to the point her it looks a little strange, it just gives the lips are darker tone to them. As I said this is an inperitational Jenner look!

To finish the lip off I use the Maybelline Colour Elixir in the shade 725 Caramel Infused this brings the lips back to life and makes them look fuller as this is a glossy formula.

Ive been in love with this lip look lately even though I am a little late to the trend, hehe!

Mini Primark Haul!!!

Hello all!

Primark has drawn me in yet again! So here is a very teeny tiny Primark haul!

I went in there because I'd previously saw some dresses for just FIVE pounds! A fiver, for a dress, whaaat?! There where different styles and patterns to choose from. I chose this block color skater dress. The top section of the dress is a plain black colojf bug at the waist and to the end of the dress is a colorful subtul Aztec like print!

Next, I needed a new beauty blender type sponge and I didn't want to pay 7/8 pounds for the Real Techniques one when I knew I could get one from good ol' Primark for £1.50

As many of you know Primak have come out with their own makeup range P.S Love.. And have coke out with a new range of long lasting lippies, in new gold sleek packaging. To me, this looks a lot more expensive than £1.50!! This is a classic red color, a shade of lipstick I've been stocking up on lately...

A treat for dry hands!

Hello all!

This cold weather has really taken its toll on my poor hands leaving them feel very tight, dry and sore and not to mention the split skin. Nasty!!

So in an attempt to revive my sore hands I brought the Dove Visible Effects Nourishing Hand Cream. This is supposed to deeply nourish deep into the inner layers of the skin. Enough so to make a difference in the appearce of the skin. When I first applied this it instantly soothe my hands making the feel super moisturised.

After a couple of uses my hands appearance weren't so tissue paper like and more healthy skin. This absorbed into my skin quickly and didn't leave a greasy residue on my skin and the sent is a plesent clean, fresh smell.

My hands have really appreciated this little tube! It's saved my skin!

Red Nose Day Makeup Tutorial | Ft. Rimmel London Kate Lipstick Red Nose Red

Yesterday in the UK it was Red Nose Day. This is a fundraising day to help those in need and the tag line of the charity is "do something funny for money". There are various different items you can purchase that go towards money for the charity such a red noses, designer t shirts, mugs, funny glasses and this year Rimmel London teamed up with Comic Relief and designed a limited edition Kate lipstick called Red Nose Red and some of the profits from the lipstick went towards Comic Relief. So I got to buy a new lippie and contribute to a wonderful charity!

Also, there were many events taking place across the country fundraising and the live coverage on the tv.

The lipstick is a dark red colour and the pigmentation is amazing! The finish I would say it on the more matte side which I like with bold lipsticks as they tend to stay in place more. I really like this lipstick, a great edition to any makeup collection!

MUA Cream Blusher Review

Hello guys!

I, back with another review today. Lately I've been wanting to get into using more cream blush produts. So to try some out and get the hand of it I thought I would try out some more affordable alternatives. So of course I got an MUA blush (my favourite makeup brand...ever!).

I picked up the shade Bittersweet which is a natural mid tone pink colour, perfect for everyday makeup. I apply this by dappling some on my finger then dappling it across the apples of my cheeks. I find the finish to be more dewy than a normal powder blush and the pigmentation is a lot more subtle. You can build the colour up but I find this is at its prettiest when it looks more natural.

I find this to be much more easy to blend when I haven't powered over the top of my foundation. When I have put powder on over my base makeup it because stiff to blend and doesn't look very nice.

Overall I'm really enjoying using this, it's something different and I think I might try some other shades for the range.

Rimmel London Cheek Tint Review

Hello guys!

I've been wanting to try out some different formulations of blusher. So I picked up the Rimmel London Stay Blushed this is a liquid check tint in the shade 004 Sunkissed Cherry. The formulation of this is like a mousse and I thought that because of the formula this would be tricky to get the hang of but it really isn't. I found this to be much more bendable and easier to apply than cream blushers in pan or stick form.

You only need teeny tiny amount as a lot goes a long way! The colour is a reddish orange which added a healthy flush of co.out to your complexion. I think this would so all skin tones, it's a universal healthy glow colour which makes you look awake and ready for the day ahead!

Batiste Original Review

Hello guys,

I've been trying to get into using dry shampoo again so I picked up the Batiste Orginal dry shampoo and I think I've made my mind up on this particular brand of shampoo.

I really dislike the smell of the Orginal, I've tried he cherry and the tropical one and I didn't think that they smelled very fresh but this one, just no. I feel like my hair smelt better before I put this on. I know a lot of people love the Batiste dry shampoos but they're just not for me, I find the constancy too thick and I feel like it weighs and my hair down and makes it feel more dirty then it did before I put the dry shampoo on.

I do like dry shampoo and I've tried ones that smell super fresh and are light on my hair. Unfortunatley, this one doesn't fit the bill.

L'Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation Review

Here is a review on the Loreal Infallible 24H Foundation. This claims to not transfer, hide imperfections, give no shine, no dry-out and no mask effect.

This foundation I feel is better suited to those with more dry skin. As this has hydrating properties it cares for dry skin whilst making your foundation stay in place all day. I haven't tested this out for 24hrs but I can tell you that it does last a good amount of time on my skin, about 8hrs with primer and powder.

Shade wise I have 015 Porcelain which is almost a white foundation! So perfect for very very pale skinned people, I would say thT this maybe slightly to light for my skin tone so I do have to tone it down with a powder that is a shade darker than my skin to , just to even things out. This doesn't transfer or slide around my face. Once this is on and set, it stays there. I'm not to sure how this would work for more oily skins, my skin used to be oily but now I feel it's more on the dry side so I can get away with the foundation abit more. If you are more oily Loreal have just lanched a new matte version of this foundation along with a primer.

The coverage is medium to build able, if you do build it up it doesn't go cakey. However, this may take a while to get used to how to apply this. With my real techniques expert face brush I find that it applies streaky but when I apply it with the real techniques Miricle complexion sponge it applied flawlessly with no streaks. So just be weary of that. But overall a great long lasting foundation.

Makeup Haul!!!

Hello everyone!

It feels like forever since I've sat down and done a makeup haul for you guys! I was on a bit of a makeup buying ban and I reall wanted to use up the products I already have instead of buying more. So as a reward for using up a two foundations (so proud of myself) I thought I would treat myself with yes, more makeup...

First up is a new one from MUA. One of the first ive brands of makeup I brought from, ahh takes me back...

I picked up a MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balm | £2 | Shade: Rouge Rumber

This smells so yummy like vanilla! The idea of this it's like a very pigmented lip balm or very moisturising lipstick, either way I'm a big fan! They smell good, the colours vivid, they're smoothing my lips and they're only £2. I think I might pick up the rest of the colours. I'm pretty sure the Sweet Sheens are new for S/S15.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser | Original | £7.99

I needed a new primer, I'm not too fussy with primers but I feel like some can be moisturising and others can be more matte. My skin is going from dry to oily so rapidly at the moment so this primer is for days when my skin feels like it wants to be a bit more oily.

MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer | £5

Now this primer is for when my skin is dryer. This gives of a more dewy glowy complection.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense | Shade: 05 Plushest Punch | £17.00

This I didn't buy myself it was given to me by a family member. I've never had anything from Clinique before and I've heard a lot about their chubby sticks. The colour is very vivd like a pink/raspberry colour and very moisturising for a product that it so pigmented.

Rimmel London Kate Lipstick | Shade: 01 Red Nose Red | £5.49

This is a limited addition lipstick for Red Nose Day and some of the profits for each lipstick will support Red Nose Day. So you're buying a lovely dark red colour, that's limited addition and you're contributing to a good cause! I'll be doing a Red Nose Day Makeup tutorial using this lipstick!

L'oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick | Shade: 285 Pink Fever | £6.99

Why have I never tried a lipstick from l'oreal before now! Why!? I've completely fallen in love with the shade, the packaging, the smell and the finish on my lips. I love my pink lipsticks and I know not everyone loves the, but I really like frost, glossy finishes and this one is definitely one that shines!

P.S Look out for a Makeup Revolution Haul coming soon!!!
