Lush | Think Pink Bath Ballistic | Review

Hello guys!

Last night I used the Think Pink bath bomb from lush. Oh my goodness this bath bomb is the smell of a Lush shop - beautiful!

As I popped this into the bath it started fizzing straight away it wasn't one of those slow ones that take a while for the colour to emerge this was like boom pink! After a while of this fizzing away in my bath I started to notice little pink confetti hearts fall out of the bath bomb and float around my bath.

To look at the water was a hot pink shade (the exact same colour of the bath bomb itself) with little confetti heats floating around. I think this would be a good bath bomb for Valentine's Day what with the colour and the little confetti heats, it's very sweet.

Also, this made my water feel silky smooth and made my skin feel soft and suble. I think this is my favorite bath bomb from lush as its one ive repurchased. Think pink - my fave!

Mini Topshop Makeup Haul

Hello all!

Topshop makeup has boomed in the beauty world and I thought it was about time to try out some bits from their makeup range.

First off, I love the packaging it's girly and modern. I picked up a lip bullet in the shade "back in the game" a bright pink colour, I thought would be perfect from spring/summer. This applies matte but doesn't feel dry on the lips it feels velvety and the pigmentation is amazing, one coat is all it stuck to get bold pink lips.

I also picked up a nail polish in the shade "everybody get up". This is a violet colour, a shade I've been introducing into my makeup collection a lot more for spring/summer I think it's a pretty shade. The colour has like little flakes of white in side it. So when this applies to the nail it gives a speckled egg look.

I'd love it if you could recommend some products from the range that are worth trying.

Lush Haul!!!

Hello guys,

I think I've gone a bit Lush crazy! Here are some things I picked up in store/ordered. All of these things have been sitting in a lush bag in my room now every time I walk into my room I feel like I've just walked into a lush shop it smells so good!

So the first thing I picked up was Dark Angles this is a facial cleanser, I had ran out of my body shop seaweed one and thought I would give this one a go. It's supposed to be deep cleaning and exfoliating so I think I'm going to like this.

Price £5.63

I also ran out of my moisturizer so I picked up Imperialis I really am not sure what my skin needs one minute its oily the next its dry or both at the same time. Imperialis is supposed to be good for balancing the skin, a good all rounder of a moisturizer.

Price £11.25

Grease Lightening every time I run out of this stuff I have to repurchase it. Its just so good! It works but it isn't harsh on the akin so you can keep reapplying it. I love it!

Price £5.33

Twilight Bath Bomb I've wanted to try this bath bomb for ages as I love the smwwl of lavender and the way it can relax you send send you of to sleep.

Price £2.79

Think Pink Bath Bomb I love this bath bomb, its one of the first bath bombs I had from Lush and it's fast become a favorite of mine, so much so that I ordered one and then picked up another in store!

Price £2.21

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar I love Lush for their bubble bars and I picked up this little fella! This smells sweet and orangy-kinda.
Price £2.29

The last item I brought was Ultrabland this is like a cleansing balm which I've tried before and loved. It makes removing makeup fast and simple.

Price £7.25

Whilst ordering some items online I decided to get a few samples of things I wanted to try before buying I got a sample of Rock Star Soap, Herbalism and Lovely Jubblies. All of the samples are free there is a small comments box during the ordering process online if you put in the items you want in there you may get the free samples but I have heard it depends what your lush shop has in? I'm not sure if that right but yaaaay free samples!

Superdrug Haul!

Hello!

I think Superdrug is the shop I visit the most, it's such a bad habit of mine going in there looking for one or two things I actually need and coming out with a bag full of makeup!

Oh well...here's what I picked up

I was really wanted to start using more lighter bases so picked up the Collection Natural Matte Foundation in the shade Ivory 2 I was drawn to this as it is supposed to give a natural look, so I assume this won't give a full coverage which is what I'm after. The matte effect I thought would be benefit all for me skin in the summer months to keep oil at bay. Also, in the base department I picked up the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in the shade Light this past year I've been including more and more BB creams into my makeup collection and I had recently run out of my last BB cream so I thought I'd give the dream pure one I go. With BB creams I tend to get them for spot prone or oily skin and this one has 2% Salicylic acid so it will be interesting to see how this performs.

Next, I picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama (Sculpting Brow Mascara) in the shade Dark Blond I was using a basic clear mascara to hold my brows in place so when that one got old and grubby I decided to pick up a proper brow mascara!

I'd ran out of my favorite eyeliner pen so I had to repurchase the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner my favorite ever eyeliner!

I've been really into moisturising lip products that will still give a power lick of colour. A range from MUA that I've been loving is the MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balm I picked up the shades Peach Dream and French Violet. I really want to get the rest of these shades I love this range so much, definitely lip products I'm gong to be using a lot over the summer for the perfect summer sunshine lips!

I guess this buy was a "ooh that looks pretty I'm going to buy you regardless of if I actually need it" kind of buy. I picked up the Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Me I wanted to try more Baby Lips that were tinted so I thought this cherry red shade would be pretty.

New buys from Mac!

Hello guys!

Ive been wanting to try out some Mac foundations for a while now so I put an order in for the Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation and the Studio Sculpt Powder Plus Foundation both in the shade NC20 which is a perfect match for my skin tone!

First the studio sculpt foundation is just amazing! Hands down one of the best foundations I have ever tried! The finish is dewy, a finish I alternate to during he warmer months his gives your skin such a healthy glow without it looking to oily. The texture is creamy and kinda thick once squeezed out of the tube but once this applies to the face it doesn't feel think or mask like at all and for a foundation with such a high coverage for a dewy foundation this doesn't feel like it's sitting on my skin or clogging up my pores.

To add to this foundations amazingness this is 40ml per tube, so 10ml more than your average foundation so it's good value for money as well as being a lovely foundation.

Next the studio sculpt powder plus foundation, I know a lot of people say that if you apply to much of this then it can make your makeup look to cakey so I only apply this very lightly. The finish is matte and it gives a little bit of coverage to your base. I find this powder to be perfect when you are going for a flawless look, as it helps to keep makeup in place all day, gives a mate finish and adds a little extra coverage.

I'm wanting to try some more bits from Mac, what would be worth trying next?

I Heart Makeup | Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher | Bursting With Love

Hello Guys,

Today I have a review on the I heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher in the shade bursting with love. What initially drew me to this blusher was the pretty heart shaped packaging, I didn't own anything like this and it looked fun and super girly.

The colour was one of the brightest pinks I could see on the website and I am glad I picked up what I think is the brightest pink because the payoff is very shimmery the colour is very sheer, its almost like a highlighter with a slight tint of colour to it more than it is a blush shade. So if I had ordered one of the more lighter pink/peach shades the colour may not have been has pigmented.

That being said this gives my complexion a lovely glow and brightens up my skin a lot. This is great as a highlighting product, it blends out easily and the shimmers aren't too chunky. But as a blush, this to me isn't pigmented enough to be classed as a full on blush product.

This retails for £4.99

Have you tried any of the Blushing Hearts blushers, what are your thoughts?

Top 3 MUA Lipsticks!

Hello Guys!

Recently I started using more of my lipsticks from MUA and I have to say I forgot how good they are! I thought I would do a post telling you about my top 3 MUA lipsticks I think are worth having in your makeup collection.

With all MUA lipsticks they are all highly pigmented, all cost only £1, have a creamy texture (obviously the matte range is slightly different in texture) and stay on the lips for a long time, leaving a stained look when the creaminess has gone.

The first lipstick is Shade 2 this will always be a special lipstick to me, its the first ever one I ever brought (aww!) the colour is a fuchsia pink/purple shade which is perfect for the Autumn. As you can see by the image I have used this lipstick an awful lot and I will be repurchasing this once this one has run out, I love it so much!

This next lipstick is more of a subtle colour, perfect for days where you don't want to wear a very bold lip, maybe if you're doing a pretty natural spring makeup look or if you have gone heavier on the eye, this lipstick will even out the makeup look. The shade name is Tulip and a light pink shade, this is one of the new shades that MUA have come out with.

Now no makeup collection is complete with out a classic red lip, its a stable beauty product! And Shade 13 is a classic postbox red. I enjoy wearing this in the day with very natural eye makeup and it look gorgeous at night with a smokey eye!

What are your top 3 MUA lipsticks?

MUA | Sweet Sheen Lip Balm | Rouge Rumba

Hello Guys!

Today I have review on the MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balm for spring/summer MUA have released some new products and a new range of lip products are these sweet sheen lip balms, there are various shades too chose from including a violet/light purple shade which I'm very keen on picking up.

The shade I have is Rouge Rumba, a classic red shade. When I apply this the colour is quite sheer as the name would suggest but gives enough pigmentation for the colour to be seen, the effect is a "just bitten" glossy look. A great lip product for creating a glowing spring/summer look.

As this is also a lip balm it is great for those days where your lips are dry and you still want to add a pop of colour to your lips.  These are only £2 each a perfect bargain for your summer makeup bag!

Have you tried out any new products from MUA recently?

What's On My Nails? | Week 9

Hello guys!

This weeks whats on my nails is inspired by the beautiful sunny weather we've had recently! As the sun was shining down it made me think of bright pastel shades so when I was deciding what colour do paint my nails this week I thought I would go for something more spring like!

Unfortunately, this colour doesn't have a shade name or number but it is a bright light blue pastel colour from Primarks P.S love... makeup range and it was a bargain too! Normally the nail polishes are £1 each (which is amazing anyway!) but I managed to pick this up for either 60p or 80p, I can't remember the exact price but it was under a £1!

For such a cheap nail polish I'm very impressed with this, the brush us square so it makes application much easier and faster. Plus, the colour payoff is brilliant, no streaks or unevenness, just solid colour!

Natural Spring Makeup Tutorial (Affordable!)

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a little tutorial on how I created a natural spring makeup look. The the we of this look is little makeup and glowing skin all using affordable products.

To start I primed my my face using the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser (£7.50) this soothes my skin, evens out my skin tone and does a great job at filling in pores.

For my foundation I used the L'orel Lumi Magique Foundation (£10.99) this foundation is perfect for this type of makeup look. The coverage is very light and it gives a radiant healthy glow to the skin. I didn't add any blush/bronze/highlight for the look as I wanted to look fresh faced and as natural as possible.

However, I did add a light dusting off powder in my t-zone to to me from becoming too oily thought out the day as the foundation is already very dewy. For powder I used the NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder (£2.99-£3.99) I find that this doesn't sit heavy in my face and it gives my skin a healthy glow which for a powder is hard to find.

The only eye makeup I wore was some mascara, I used the Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara (£6.29) I find that with only one swipe of this mascara is enough to give subtle definition to the eye lashes. Finally for the lips, I didn't want to wear even a lipstick so I chose the MUA Sheer Lip Gloss in the shade Happy Days (£1!!). In e tube this looks like a orange colour but goes onto the lips quite sheer (as the name would suggest!). The lip gloss gave my lips subtle colour and added shine which made my lips pop more but in a natural way.

What are your favourite spring time products?

Makeup and Skin care Haul!!

Hello lovelies!

Today I have a haul with both makeup and skincare items to show you, so let's begin!

First off I picked up two chubby sticks. The first one being a Beauty Uk Posh Pout in the shade power to the purple. This is very moisturising on the lips and when the glossy feeling has gone I find this stains my lips. I've been on a chubby stick streak at the moment and picked up another one this time being the Seventeen Lip Crayon unfortunately the shade name for this was printed on the outer plastic packaging which I've no thrown away *sad face*. There are I think four or five shades and I have the light pink one.

Staying with the lips theame I picked up the technic Colour Max Lipgloss in the shade Nude this is a dark brown/reddish colour nude, a very 90s kinda lip. From the first swatch this is very pigmented for a lip gloss and smells like sweets!

Staying with the brand technic I picked up two nail polishes one for the Pretty Pastels range in the shade Bubblegum a light baby pink colour and then a glitter one in the shade Ice Cream Ella this which has light pink glitters in that are the same colour as the bubble gum nail polishes I'm so excited to wear these two! Bubble gum on all my nails then on an accent nail ice cream Ella, spring nails complete!

Now it's time for skin care!

I know a lot of people dislike using makeup wipes but I have a proper skin cleansing routine this is just the very first step I do to take of the first layer of my makeup then I follow it with a two cleansers, toner and moisturiser. The face wipes I picked up are the Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Cleansing Wipes.

My Sunkissed tan lotion is nearly out so to replace it I picked up the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion I was drawn to this at its a lit like the normal moisturizer I have of this which I really like but with a gradual self tanner built into it, so I'm excited to give that a whirl!

I needed a good exfoliator to get rid of my old fake tan so I picked up a tub of the Cyclax Nature Pure Apricot Facial Scrub this is advertised as a "facial scrub" but looking at the product the particals look much to sharp and chunky to be used on my face and there's lots of this stuff in a tub so for me this is more suited for my body to get rid of my old fake tan.

My Travel Essentials!

Hello guys!!

I've recently just arrived home from a lovely easter break at the Lake District and a day out in Blackpool!

So here are the makeup essentials I took with me! I don't really find myself wearing tonnes of makeup when I going a while for a short time, mainly because I can't be bothered to bring it all with me and take it back again. So to still look life I've put some effort into my appearance I take my Seventeen Stay Time Foundation I usually want a foundation that will last a long time when I'm away because I'll be out visiting places all day and may not have time to touch up my foundation, so a full coverage Matt base is essential for me!

Of course I have to bring a mascara and brow powerder to give some definition to those areas but just one product for each. For mascara I used the Seventeen Va Va Voom mascara as this isn't a messy mascara and with one swipe I've got fluttery eyelashes. For brows I tool with me the Seventeen Brow Pencil just a quick and simple brow pencil with a small brush at the end to define my brows.

Last but not least i also tool a powder the one ive been loving lately is the NYC Mosaic Powder just a cheap, long lasting simple powder and for my lips a tinited lip balm!

I hope you all had a good easter!
