Unicorn Horn | Bubble Bar | Lush

Hello Guys

Recently, I've been using the Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar from Lush. As you can imagine as soon as I saw this on the Lush website I could not let this one slip by. So I went into my local Lush store and this was the last one left!

The colours, glitter and smell all scream a great new product from Lush! As this is a bubble bar I crumbled this under warm running water. This turned my bath a pale purple/violet colour with added sparkles, much like what you would expect a unicorn to look like! Purple and sparkly!

The scent is amazing, this smells just like a Lush shop and I managed to get 4 baths out of this amazing bubble bar, with lots of bubbles, colour and sparkle in each bath!

Superdrug Haul!!

Hello Guys

First off apologies are needed for being a bad blogger and not posting for a while. I'm having such a hectic time at the moment and have only find it until now to sit down and write!

I think this is like the first time I have ever gone into Superdrug and not purchased a make-up item, insane!

I'll get the boring item out of the way now, I picked up some 100% Pure Cotten Wool these are the smaller round pads, I like to use these for taking of my eye make-up.

Next, is a new favorite of mine Tea Tree Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash this is from Superdrug's own brand of Tea Tree skin care. This keeps breakouts at bay but also illuminates my skin.

Well, I needed some new hair spray and I'm going to be honest, I might have only picked this up because it's packaged in a pink tube (super-girly-girl over here!). This is new from Schwarzkopf and it's the got2b 2 sexy BIG VOLUME push up volumizing hairspray (that's a rather long name). This is supposed to "push up, plump, ultra hold", exciting!

Now when it comes to eye make-up remover I tend to be very picky, I can't stand removers that are oil based, the oil gets in my eyes and makes my vision blurry for a few minutes, scary! So I picked up the Simply Pure Gentle Eye Make-up Remover this one is for sensitive skins so all the nasties have been removed, yay! And this doesn't look oil based, double yay!!

Last but not least, I needed a new toner, I wanted to try something a little different, so I picked up the Deep Action Deep Cleaning Lotion. This, as you can imagine from the name, gives you a deep clean and helps to tighten pores.

Floating Flower | Bath Bomb | Lush | Review

Hello Lovelies!

I am pretty much a newbie to Lush, but from the products I've tried so far I can tell I'm going to swiftly become a big fan!

Yesterday, I put the Floating Flower Bath Bomb into my bath and the experience was lovely! As with all lush products this smelt out of this world! Floating Flower is a rather on the larger side, so this took a while to completely dissolve.

This made my water turn pink and left my skin feeling super soft and moisturized. The water has like a oily feeling to it, but in a good way, which is most likely where the moisturized feel came from.

The smell has a strong Jasmine sent which I loved and overall this was a very pleasant bath bomb!

I have recently made a Youtube account so I'm thinking about making vlogs and haul videos on there that can match up with my blog posts. So if you have any suggestions for future videos or tips for making videos please let me know :) My Youtube is : PassionForMakeup (the same as my blog name) and I will happily subscribe to you guys too!

Makeup Haul!!

HAs the title suggests I've been doing a lot of makeup shopping recently, so here is a haul of all the goodies I picked up!

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paints

I got the shades Passion Fruit and Papaya. This gel effect nail paints from Barry M are in my opinion the only ones for the durgstore that actually give of the gel- like effect and last as for a longer amount of time than the regular nail paints.

Barry M Aquarium Nail Effect

I seriously cannot wait to try this nail effect! I have a think for metallic nails so I'm hoping that this will look as amazing on my nails as it does in the bottle! The shade I have is Caspian

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I have the foundation of this concealer but I've never actually ever owned this concealer before ( I know, I know, I can't believe it either). So I finally have this in the shade 1 Light.

Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara

My L'oreal Telescopic mascara had finally all dried up this week, but I wasn't prepared to pay I think its either £10 - £11 pounds for a mascara I only use on the tip of my other mascara to make them longer. So I saw this which is much cheaper, it lengths and has a lash growing complex to it, ooo fancy!

Pretty Heart Glitter Nail Effects

These are clear nail varnishes with lots of love hearts running through them. I have two co lours, light pink and a teal/dark green. Expect a Valentines Nail Theme post using these coming soon! If your're wondering where I got these from they are 2 for £1 at Poundland!!

Revlon Nail Art Neon

On my little trip to poundland I saw this. I have never had any nail art products so I thought for only a £1 I would give this a go! Especially now I'm doing my new weekly blog post series "Whats On My Nail?" I thought that would be the perfect oppurtunity to to try different nail products and looks 😀

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This is just a replacement, I did have this brush already but when you're using it everyday and washing it. Mine got a bit worse for wear so I had to buy another!

Real Techniques Miricle Complexion Sponge

My makeup sponge from Wilkos, again like the expert face brush, had gotten a little groggy. This has been on my radar for a while now so, you gussed it, I picked one up to try out. I love using sponges for my concealer, especially under my eyes. I find it gives a HD effect to the face.

Makeup Gallery Shine On Intense Colour & Shine Lip Gloss

I can never have to many lip glosses! On my little trip into poundland i spotted a make up stand called "Makeup Gallery" with a full selection of different makeup products from foundations to eyeshadows to lipsticks to eyeliner, all £1! And so professional looking.

The Body Shop Haul!!!

I was a little naughty today, may have popped in my favorite shop, ever! The Body Shop!

I picked up

Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream

My current BB cream the Seventeen Blemish Beauty Balm, which I had raved about so much in 2014, has nearly all gone. So when it runs out I wanted to venture out into the BB cream market and try another one. This swatched its actually really pale, unlike my Seventeen one, fingers crossed its good!

Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion

Ive had this night lotion before and really enjoyed using it. I felt like my moisturizer I was using in the morning wasn't moisturizing enough for night so I picked up this. It helps fade blemishes and ungcloges pores, smeelz fresh and clean and of course, moisturizes.

Tea Tree Pore Minimizer

Since the weather has been incredibly windy just lately my skin, regardless of the foundation or bb cream never stays but on my face. Not because my face is oily but because it's been blown off! I wanted to start using primers again to make my face makeup stick like glue. However, normal primers make my skin break out. But, this having tea tree and sating that it will leave skin purifited caught my attention. Plus, it claims to make pores look smaller, yaay!

Tea Tree Blemish Gel

I can never have enough spot gel in mg life. I always seem to get a spot and appear to have ran out of spot gel, so I thought I would stock up seeing as it was buy three get one half price!

I love The Body Shop, they have great quality, fair trade and curltey free products and my skin seems to really like them, thumbs up!

Whats On My Nails? | Week 2

Hello everyone!

It's Friday so that means that you can all have a nosey and look at what nail paint I'm wearing on my fingers this week!

If you read my first "What's On My Nails?" you will know that I couldn't do a finger nail picture because my nails had Ben in such a state for a staining from a past nail color, disaster!

But this week my nails are a little more passable for blog post quality. Still not completely stain free but there's okay.

The colour I'm wearing this week is a Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in the shade Passion Fruit. A very fitting Mame for this shade, a citrus, peachy pop! This one really brightens up my mood and makes me think of summer, oh how I wish I could be sunning my self in the Bahamas...

If you guys know any tricks to prevent nail polish from staining or how to completely remove it please help me out? Thank you!

MUA | Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint | First Impressions

I was really looking forward to making natural everyday, fast eye looks eye looks with these. I picked up the colours A Girl Like Me and Bring It Back. A light brown shade and a darker brown shade.

When I swatches the colours on my hand they had good colour payoff and pigmentation so I was really excited to see how they applied to my lids. I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed with these, after not even minuets of having them on my lids they had slid around and creased so badly I had to wipe the product on. Bearing in mind that my eyelids are very dry and often become crackled and sore due to this hey shouldn't have slid around that easy.

I'm a big fan of MUA in general I love all their products and generally speaking the quality and pigmented of their products is amazing for the price. So I'm going to try wearing an eye primer underneathe these and maybe with a little sweep of translucent powder over the top and see if I have a better result that way. I'm determined to make these work!

Lush Grease Lightening | Review

Hello Guys! Today I have a review on Lush's Grease Lightening spot treatment. First off can we just take a moment to appreciate how cool the name is?! This is a spot treatment with a difference, instead of contain a high concentrate of harmful chemicals that could do more harm then good to the rest of your skin this (like you would expect from Lush) contains ONLY natural anti bacterial and anti inflammatory ingredients. So you can trust that it will be kind to your skin whilst the power of mother nature zaps your zits! The formula is a clear gel, that smells very fresh and herby? I'm not the greatest at describing scents. But the smells dose diminish once you apply this to the affected area. I like to apply this treatment at night time so it has time to really skin into my pores and give them a good deep clean. In the morning the spot size and the redness around it has gone down. All WITHOUT drying my skin out, making it flaky or sore. SKIN SAVIOR!! Em x

All things coral!

I adore the coral shade! I think it's so flattering and uplifting and makes you look more glowy than a classical pink shade (which don't get me wrong I love to).

I've done a round up of all my coral makeup products and here are my most used!

MUA Lipstick | Shade: Nectar

To begin with I love all MUA lipsticks. I find the formula  of thier original range to be creamy, comfortable to wear and long lasting. This shade is a coral/orange that I think any complexion could pull off. It's almost, in some lights, slightly red, it has a red hue to it which is why I think this is a very universal shade. It's great fir summer, I picked this up last summer and constantly wore it until we hit autum. Needless to say I'm very excited to be wearing this shade again when summer finally arrives!

MUA Blusher | Shade: Lolly

Now I have a big collection of blushers if all different shades. But this one, this one is special. Like wow, I know it's only a blusher but it's amazing! As soon as you apply this to the apples of the cheeks it instantly makes you look so much healthier! As it gives you a pleasant glow to your face, it's just magical! As with all MUA blushes, I find that to be very pigmented so you only need to apply a little bit to your brush. I've had mine for nearly a year now and I don't even think I've hit pan!

L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara | Review

This mascara is one I've repurchased, if i rebuy something this means I really love it! This has a wand that can bend so it allows you to really get up close and personal with your lash line. A few wiggles of the brush and your lashes are left seperated, evenly coated, not clumpy, volumised with some added length.

I have sensitive eyes so I have to see if my eyes "like" a mascara, if they don't I'll be left with very itchy, sore watery eyes. Resulting in panda eyes, not an attractive look! But this mascara doesn't cause me any problems what so ever. Plus, hate size of the brush is in bigger at one end and gets smaller so this can be use for your lower lash line and doesn't flake on me either, result!

P.s if you're feeling a little funky this mascara also comes in colours other than black!

What's on my nails? | New Weekly Blog Post Series

Hello guys!

As promised I'm going to do a weekly blog post called "What's on my nails?". I always like to have a little mosey at what colour or pattern people have on their nails, very inspirational!

The shade I'm wearing this week is Rimmel London I <3 Lasting Finish in the shade 030 Double Decker Red. A classical red staple.

Some of you might be wondering why I haven't posted a photo with this on my nails (it is currently on my nails, I promise!). But I've had a bit (more like a lot) of staining from the last teal blue colour I wore. Leaving my poor bare nails a strange wash of blue/green. So in a desperate attempt to cover this hideous sight I opted for this bright red colour. Which has somewhat dimished the awfulness but never the less they still don't look quite up to blog post standard. So my apologies there.

Next week hopfully my nails with be back to a more normal colour and I'll be able to publish this post properly!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub | Mini Review

Hello guys! I have literally just used this little pot of joy and oh my, it smells, amazing! (like all other products from lush!)The sent is very sweet hence it's name Bubblegum and it even tastes sweet, I'm not sure if the lip scrubs contain sugar? But either way they taste pretty goo. In my view anything that is going on my lips either needs to smell or taste good, is that just me? Exfoliation wise, I really only needed a tiny amount to cover my lips. When I first used this I completely miss judged how much of the product I needed, that's why half of it ended up spilling in my mouth (that's why I know it tastes good!). After rinsing this off I was left with very very smooth lips. Before using this lip scrub my lips weren't overly dry or cracked they just needed a little TlC. But the difference in how my lips felt after using to when I first applied it was, outstanding. Never before have I had such smooth lips. Plus, the color is pink, that's always a bonus right? Em x

PassionForMakeup has a new look!

As you can probably guess from the title of this blog post that my blogs layout has had a much needed facelift! At last! So just to let you all know where I discovered this beautiful theme from. I found it on http://www.bloggercandy.com/2014/12/23/fancy-free-purple-blogger-template/ There are multiple different themes to choose from plus tutorials on how to upload them on to your blog, which me being a newbie to the blogging world found very helpful! I really do love my blogs new look and I hope you guys do too. Em x

My most worn lipgloss of 2014!

Hello guys!

Throughout the year I've been wearing a lot more lip glosses and therefore have built up a bit of a collection over the past year. But here is one that I've worn the most throughout 2014

MUA's Out There Lip Plumping Lip gloss in the shade Sienna! Love the colour, love the name!

This shade is a very bright orange/coral tone, which makes any makeup look pop! I feel that this really awakens my face and makes me look brighter.

As for the "lip plumping" part of this lip gloss, this does make your lips tingle when you apply the gloss, causing the lips to swell slightly, making them look plumper. The tinglyness only lasts for a few minuets, some may be put off by that but I kinda like it.

As for the colour and staying power, the colour is very opaque for a lip gloss and the glossy shine lasts for a good few hours. Once the shine has worn off you're still left with a stain of the color on the lips which looks so pretty.

Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer Eye Shadow Cream | Cashmere Plum

I've been using the shadow cream since the start of autum. I swear as soon as the weather turns cold all my makeup shades turn to plum ones!

This shadow cream is so creamy and glides onto the lids with ease. This would work as just a wash of colour on it's own for a natural day time look or this could work as a base colour for a berry coloured smokey eye.

Essence pure skin anti-spot moisturising make-up foundation | Review

Before buying this foundation, I was looking for something that would do more good than bad to my skin. I feel this has the right ingredients to treat and prevent spots. However, the staying power is around 5hrs on my and that's with a primer and powder over the top. So I'm not to sure how well this would hold up without the additional products.

This seems to settle into fine lines and pores and after a while parts rub off and go patchy, not a good look! To top this off there was only two shades at my Essence stand, I'm not sure if there is two shades everywhere. But I picked up what I thought was the lightest of the two shades (no Ivory/Porcelain option visible) so I picked up 01 beige. Which in the shop looked like it would suit my skin tone pretty well and when applied to the skin this suits me. But after wearing this out for a while this oxidised on me and made me look rather orange.

Overall, I do feel this has the right ingredients to prevent and help spots. However, my skin didn't like it too much.

MAC Lipstick Review | Craving

Hello everyone!

I've been wanting to try the MAC lipstick in Craving for so long! So when it finally arrived at my front door on Friday I was over the moon! The sole reason I wanted to try this one out was because of it's berry tones, I love berry lipsticks. A berry colour is a rather bold colour, but I find them to be much more wearable than a red lip, strange I know.

The finish of the Craving is "amplified" meaning that the colour payoff will be much more opaque. To see how long this one lasted for a popped this on at around 9:30am this morning, of course I was drinking and eating throughout the day and by the time I wanted to take my makeup off (around 5:3pm) there was still a stain of this colour on my lips.

Another one to add to my berry lipstick collection!

MAC | Creme De La Femme | Review

Mac's Creme De La Femme is a pink mauve colour, with a frost finish. I know a lot of people aren't all that keen on frost finishes but this one I find is an exception. This doesn't make your lips look like they're covered in glitter, nor does it feel overly gritty on the lips. This just gives a lovely sheen to the lips which I love. Making them look fuller and plumer.

The shade is perfect for everyday wear. As it's not a "in your face" super bold colour but does give you a good wash of colour that's very natural. I think most makeup looks would suite this lipsticks as it gives enough colour to be worn with a very natural eye. But is natural or "nude" enough to be worn with a darker smokey eye.

Overall I really do love this lipstick, it's now one of my "go to" everyday nude/pink lipsticks!

Getting into shape!

Hello guys!

Since September I have been on a real health kick and I wanted to share my on going experience with you guys. So first things first I've joined a gym back in September and I've been an addict ever since. I have to admit the reason why I love it so much, is because the machines in my gym have an small tv screen built into them, with about 20 different tv channels to choose from. Which means I still get to watch my soaps and work out at the same time, woop!!

For the gym, I take a gym towel, phone pouch that I strap around my arm, head phones, water bottle and my gym card to get into the gym (that should have been the first thing I mentioned!). To wear I have my LA Gear yoga pants, these are so comfortable to wear, very flexible and surprising thick and warm to say the look like leggings. On top I wear the stechy Lycra work out vest tops and a sports bra, both from Primark I find these to be breathable and light. So really good for when you get all sweaty these don't weigh you down.

Now I totally would tell you the names of the euipment I use and I find it rather embarrassing that I've been going to the same gym since September for 3 times each week and I don't know the names of the euipment I use. In my defence the names of what they are aren't Actually labeled on the euipment and I could try and describe the, to you but that would be confusing and would take to long - sorry!

My workout is between 1 hour to 1 and a half and for example if I was there for one hour I would go on 3 different pieces of euipment for 20 minuets each (I always warm up and warm down before each 20 minuets).

Something I thought I should mention seeing as I'm on the topic of weight loss - Green Tea! Yes it may look disgusting, yes it may taste awful but it is so so so so soooo good for detox and I feel, has aided the weight loss. I normally drink this last thing at night so all the goodness has time to work its magic and that way I won't be flushing it out with any other drinks.

If you guys have any workout or weight loss tip them I would love to hear them!

Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara | Review

Hello lovelies!
**ALERT** new mascara discovery!
I received a Seventeen makeup day to nigh makeup kit as one of my Christmas presents and I was so happy to see that there was a mascara in there! If you've been following my blog closely you'll know that I adore the brand Seventeen.
I had been wanting to try one of their mascara for a long time, seeing as I enjoy all their other products so much. As always, Seventeen have not let me down! First off, the packaging is very eye catching a white base with bold black writing all over it. This is a volumising mascara and for my lashes that is perfect. As overalls I do tend to go for more mascaras that offer volume as natural more lashes are rather long.
The bristles are those non plastic ones? Where it's more of a brush? I have no idea what the fancy name for that kind of brush is. Apologies there! The size of the brush isn't too big or small it's just right, it's bigger at one at and smaller at the other so I find I can easily wiggly this though my lashes and get them evenly coated.
By putting one layer on you will get very defined natural looking lashes but it you build this up your lashes really will look "Va Va Voom".

Seventeen Stay Time Foundation | Review

Over the past few months I've been really getting into the brand Seventeen owned by Boots. Overall the brands quality is amazing for the price and every item I've picked up from the brand, I've loved!

The Stay Time foundation is big favourite of mine, so much so that when my first bottle ran out I just had to pick up a second because I cannot live without this. I'm not normally one for rebuying the same foundation, so when I do, you know it's love!

This foundation is a matte finish and is full coverage. This is a foundation that actually does what is says it's going to do, as this delivers a very full coverage, one pump is more than enough to do my entire face.

I'm not sure if this does last for 25hrs, because I never were my foundation for that long so I couldn't test that out. However, this does last a full day on me, I put my foundation on around about 7:30am and it's still on my face when I get home at 5:30pm. No sliding down my face, no patches, just a fresh flawless face!

Some other benefits of this foundation is that it has SPF 25, here in Britain we don't have a very friendly relationship with the sun but when they are friends it's always handy to be protected against the suns rays. Plus, in most foundation lines/brands even the lightest shade is normally a shade to dark for me. But this line of foundation I've found a shade that is my actual shade! Woop! I'm in Soft Ivory.

All in all, my go to foundation of all time!
