New buys from Max Factor

Hello Guys!

Today I have a bit of a mini haul/mini review for you of Max Factor goodies! I'm not normally a Max Factor girl put the pretty gold packaging and the amazing shade range really caught my eye so I went and brought a few bits from them.

The first thing I wanted to pick up that's been rather popular recently is the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in the shade 15 Seductive Pink. I was a bit dubious about this product to begin with and didn't really think it would give me that wow factor but oh my! I was so so so very wrong! Since the first day I got this blush I have been wearing it non stop. The reason why? the colour is a beautiful shade of pink and this blends like a dream, like really I hardly have to buff this into my skin to make it mesh with the rest of my makeup.

I've been really into pink/nude lip gloss at the moment so when I saw this lip gloss in the shade 10 Pristine Nude I just knew I would love it. The formula is just right, not too sticky but it doesn't feel to slippery where it would come off within a 2 hours of wear for a lip gloss it last a good 4 hours and then I need to reapply.

I have lots of eye shadow pallets in my collection and the eye shadow sticks that I do own aren't great at all (they are from MUA, I did a blog post about that a few months ago). So I decided to try one from Max Factor, I picked up the Wild Shadow Pencil 2-in-1 Shadow + Liner  in the shade 05 this is a brown/taupe colour with some small flecks of glitter running through. This is great for early mornings, its so fast to apply and blends so easily.

I'm really enjoying Max Factor at the moment, tell me in the comments section below what are your favorite products from Max Factor?

Until next time!

Superdrug Hual!!!

Hello guys ive just popped into my local super drug and thought I would share with you the goodies I got. In this Superdrug Hual its pretty much all what you would concider to be base products.

Make up Revolution:

The One Blush Stick in Matte Malibu

Radiance Radiant Lights Pallet

Cover & Conceal Pallet in the shade Light

I love Make up Revolution their products are very affordable for the amazing quality you get.

NYC New York Colour:

All Day Long Foundation

Back before this blog started this was one of the first foundations I tried and I can remember really enjoying this. It feels so light on the skin but really makes your skin look so smooth (as the name would suggest) and baby soft. I've been on the hunt for this foundation for a long time and it's finally back in my life, yaaay!

Revlon:

Colour Stay Foundation Combination/ Oily Skin in the shade 111 Ivory

I've heard so many people talk about this foundation and I have been looking for a matte foundation with good coverage so I thought this would be up my street. I'm excited to see how I get on with this.

Lastly, the new Zoella beauty line has launched which I am soooo sooo happy about and I picked up the cosmetics purse. I thought this would be the perfect size to fit all my makeup essentials in for my holiday. I really want to try the body scrub from the range too!

That's everything in today's hual, I hope you enjoyed until next time!

Essence Silky Touch Blush Review | 90 Summer Dreaming

Hello sweeties!

I've been on such a blush hunt at the moment and wanted to find a blush shade that was subtle enough for everyday wear or for a natural makeup look. Now I'm now sure if this is with all of Essences Silky Touch Blushes or this particular shaded (90 Summer Dreaming) but this in my opinion is in between a pink and a coral shade. Making this perfect for everyday wear as these are overly pigmented, it just gives a subtle hint of colour to my cheeks.

To touch the blush they to feel very silky and not chalky or rough at all, so it is true to its name! This colour has very fine glitters in to so when this is applied to the cheeks it doesn't look flat like a matte shade but it isn't a replacement for your highlighter either. It just gives your skin this awakened glow.

Essence Soo Glow! Review

Hello Guys!

Today I have a review for you of the Essence So Glow! This is a cream to powder highlight that I have been using a lot lately to achieve a subtle soft glow. The colour is a silver/champagne colour which creates a great deal of luminosity to the skin.

I find that a little goes a long way with this product, only a small dab of this product and you're good to go! or good to glow!

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer | 200 Comet

Hello everyone!

I really like lip lacquers, you put them on and they don't budge for the whole entire day and this one that I'm going to review for you today is now exception to "no budging".

Here I have the Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in the shade 200 Comet. This shade is a lovely brown/red shade which I'm led to believe is a colour that is going to be very on trend for Autumn 2015.

The pure pigmentation of the lip lacquer is just amazing. When you first apply this onto the lips it almost looks like a highly pigmented gloss as has a shine to it. But wants this sets it turns into a matte shade which for a matte shade isn't drying on the lips.

The colour doesn't go anywhere during the day even through eating or drinking this doesn't slip or crumble off. It lasts and lasts and lasts!

I love this stuff and I'm sure I will be wearing it more once Autumn is here!

P.S Guys, I need your help! I'm searching for a good BB cream, the ones I'm trying out at the moment aren't too good. If you could leave me some suggestions that would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Essence Single Eyeshadow Review Ft.3D Eyeshadow

Hello Guys

Here in the UK Essence has only recently launched, it might actually be getting on for a year now but either way Essence is a brand of makeup I haven't really tried very much. So I thought I would pick up some single eyeshadows to see how they held up

The first two shades I got are 05 My Favorite Tauping and 03 Creme Brulee, both from the I heart Nude range. I was so impressed by the overall quality of these eye shadows, the packaging and how the product is set in the pot feel very sturdy.

The pigmentation is good, in the sense that it isn't too over powering (some of you may think what why do you not want a powerfully pigmented eye shadow?!) but for every day wear they are lovely because not a lot of blending is needed to create a soft look. They do have good pigmentation but what I'm saying is it's easy to work with and not so scary, these would be perfect for people who are just starting out with makeup because you can't really go wrong with these.

I also picked up a 3D eye shadow in the shade 04 Irresistible Caramel Cream this is a duo eyeshadow that is very shimmery. I find that when I spray a makeup fixing spray to my eyeshadow bruch then pick some of the shadow up and apply this to my eyelid it really makes the shadows pop in both colour and the shiney 3D effect.

I think Essence have very cute shade names too!

Have you tried any single eye shadows from Essence what are your thoughts?

Makeup Revolution Redemption Pallet Essential Mattes Review

Hello Guys!

I'm here with a review of the Makeup Revolution Redemption Essential Mattes Pallet. I love Makeup revolutions eye shadow pallets you get so much quality for the small price you pay. I found myself going though my eye shadow pallet collection and realized I didn't own one pallet solely full of matte eye shadows. Being a shimmery eyeshadow kinda gal I tend not to gravitate much towards matte pallets but seeing so many good review for this pallet and wanting to get out of my comfort zone I picked this up.

Honestly, I think I have become a matte eye shadow convert, they are so much more wearable for everyday. Such as the darker shades because they're matte and not so sparkly and in your face I feel like I can get away with wearing darker shades during the day very subtly. This makes me feel like I'm going to use all of this pallet more not just the natural champagne or taupey brown colours.

With all makeup revolution eye shadows the pigmentation is amazing, they're buttery soft and for matte eyeshows at that, are a DREAM to blend!

Overall, I'm enjoying this pallet, it's been rather refreshing to switch things up to matte finishes and like I said I think my mind has been changed about matte eye shows, they now have a very special place in my heart, aww!

Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Redemption Essential Mattes pallet? What are your thoughts?

Whats's On My Nails? | Week 11

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another "what's on my nails?" I have been eyeing up some polishes from Sally Hansen recently and this week finally decided to pick two shades up. The shade I have on my nails is 260 "So Much Fawn" a browny/pink shade. The pinky mauve shade is really interesting me at the moment I'm wearing it on my lips and using eye shadows this shade so of course I had to pick up a nail varnish!

The nail varnish is supposed to be like a complete manicure all in one bottle! It is shiny and long wearing like a gel polish and has conditioning properties in the formula too look after your nails whilst you have this on. Plus, helps the nails to regrow. So this not only lasts long on my nails and gives very good colour pay off it also keeps my nails healthy. A win win situation!

Collection Naturally Matte Foundation - Ivory 2 | Review

Hello guys!

I really dislike writing not so happy reviews about products, I feel like I'm being mean haha (and no one likes a meanie!) buuut I have to be honest and this really isn't great.

Okay, so this is a very cheap foundation. However, I have had foundations in the past that are around this same price point that have actually worked and this doesn't work, at all. The texture is strange, when you squeeze a blob on to the back of your hand it feels a little bit like a mousse which is nice. But when it comes to applying this to the face it just doesn't want to blend and it goes very streaky, patchy and clings to certain areas. For me this almost disappears around my nose, I blend it out so it doesn't look patchy but it just blends to nothing leaving me with a very red nose.

And with that leads me onto my next point, the coverage, this is more like a tinted moisturiser so me.I have BB creams that will cover better than this does. Also, the colour oxidises like crazy, after a few hours of wear this will start to go Orange on me.

Hmm i don't think I would recommend this. If you're looking for a cheap foundation stay clear of this one. There are many others out there from brands such as NYC, Miss Sporty or MUA where the foundations carry the same price point but ACTUALLY WORK!

MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer | Review

Hello Guys!

Today I want to share with you a lovely little primer from MUA, the Undressed Your Skin Flawless Skin Primer.

I've been using this a lot recently and it's really started to grow on me again. This best suites my skin when it's particularly dry and my skin has been DRRY! This primer isn't greasy or siliconey feeling however it is a pleasant moisturizing feel. I find this really perks my skin up when it's in need of a "pick me up" and keep my skin a subtle glow!
