New Beauty Buys!

Here are a tiny haul of beauty products I've recently picked up.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation

I have yet to try a rimmel foundation so I'm very excited to see how this one performs. I've just test out the foundation and it looks like pretty much an exact match from my skin, I'm in the shade 010 Light Porcelain. Keep an eye out for a review of this soon!

W7 Sheer Loose Powder
Well, I needed some new powder, I saw this and it was only £1.99 so I thought why not give this a go, I won't be losing much if i don't like it. First impressions so far so good :)

W7 Big Lash Mascara and Eyeliner
The main reason I picked this up was because I'm forever losing my eyeliner and needed another and also because I'm a mascara junkie! These came sealed in a pack together, again 1.99 that's roughly a pound each!

I have seen this W7 brand popping up rather a lot just lately, to say how cheap the prices are the products seem to be of good quality.

Boots Simply Sensitive Skin Care

Here is a little review type post about a range of products I've been really getting into just lately, Boots Simply Sensitive.

As the name suggest this is a skin care range that is aimed at people with sensitive skin. After using these products I've found that my skin has lost that "tight" feeling and it's a lot less red in colour. There are no fragrances or colours and contains soothing aloe Vera. Also, this has helped bring moisture back to my skin.

I nearly forgot to mention, everything in the range is super afforadable too!

The products I have from the range are:

Gently Refreshing Toner 200ml | £2.69

Eye Makeup Remover 125ml | £2.79

Facewipes (25 wipes) | £2.79

Cleansing Wash Gel 150ml | £2.49

Have you tried anything from this range yet?

Review: collection lasting perfection foundation

Here is a foundation I have been loving lately! After hearing so many good reviews about the concealer on this I thought, te foundation must be as good! And it is, very very good!

This claims to last upto 16 hours, but who wears their foundation for 16 hours? So as you probably guessed I won't be able to tell you if it lives upto it's 16 hour wear claims. However, I put this on at 7:30am and by 6:00pm it's still on my face, no matches, no streaks.

The coverage is medium to full, if you apply lightly or with a beauty blender you will get more of a medium coverage and if you later it up slightly it becomes a lot fuller. This hides any blemish or dark circles perfectly and is easy to blend into the skin.

This doesn't actually say what kind of finish this gives the skin, I find that it gives a dewy, glowy looking effect to the skin. Something I love! I've been really getting into dewy foundation just lately.

Two more pluses, it's oil free, so it's great for anyone with oily skin as this won't add to the oiliness and it's SPF 20 (not that we get any sun her in the UK to need this but hey!)

I have mine in the shade 2 Ivory, which has more of a yellowish undertone.

Here is a picture of me wearing the foundation.

VERY Affordable Hair Care Products

Here are a few of my top picks for VERY Affordable hair hair!

Pantene Pro-V Split End Serum | £2-£3
I'm currently growing my hair out at the moment so to help with any split ends, I apply 1 and a half pumps of this on to the ends on my hair and leave it in over night. In the morning the ends of my hair appear smoother and feel stronger.

Naturoil Argon Oil Heat Defence Spray | £1
To help with heat damage from drying and styling I spray this on my hair. This leaves my hair silky smooth, shiny and frizz free and the best bit, it only cost a pound! I would highly recommend popping into your nearest pound shop to have a look at the hair bits you will often be very surprised at how much they stock!

Brazilian Keratin Smoothing Therapy Hair Treatment Oil | £1
For just one pound, I seriously cannot stress enough how much I love this amazing little wonder! This makes my hair stronger, frizz free, shiny and looking healthy and full of life! I use this on towel dried hair and blow dry through. I use this 2 times a week.

What it your most affordable hair care find?

MUA: £1 Lipstick Collection

Here is a little blog post dedicated to my collection of MUA (Make up Academy) original and matte £1 lipsticks.

First up, is one of my most favourite shades amongst the bunch, shade 2. I love the plum/purple colour this gives, a perfect lippie for the fall!

Next I have shade 3. This colour is a very bright dark pink/raspberry colour.

Nectar, is a orange/coral colour I love wearing this shade in the spring/summer seasons

The original formula are all very creamy lipsticks, they definitely feel like I made a lot more than just one pound! For the quality I think I need to get them all!!

The first matte lipstick is wild berry, a lot like shade 2 but matte. It's a plum shade perfect for autumn. The lipstick bullet actually looks a lot darker than how the colour swatches. So to look at it without swatching first, don't be put off by it.

Here is totally nude, a name that speaks for it's self, yes you guessed it, it's a nude shade, shocker!!

Last but not least, is scarlet siren, my go to red lip colour!

So that it for my collect of MUA £1 lipsticks!

P.s if you love the smell of vinilla then you will love how these lipsticks smell...and taste.

What's your favourite MUA lipstick?

My skin saviour

Recently, my skin had broken out and regardless of what blemish fighting products I tried, to clear them up they still would not budge!

As I was strolling through boots and superdrug I noticed the brand called "Clean&Clear". I was looking for a product that would get rid of my troublesome skin but also heal and nourish the rest of my skin.

So I came across this "Dual Action Moisturiser" with claims that it moisturises and "helps prevent spots abd blemishes" so with that in mind, I decided to give it a go!

I am soo soo soo happy I did! Because this has literally saved my skin, my blemishes and marks have faded and my skin is moisturised! So thankyou Clean&Clear for making a product that does its job and is affordable!

Whats your "skin saviour" product? Let me know in the comments below :)

MUA: NEW! Lip Switch Review

So recently MUA have brought out an array of new products/shades. From there 1 lipst collection adding new colours to brand new products like the ones im going to review today, Lip Switch!
The Lip Switch is a matte shine duo product, meaning on one end of the tube it has a matte lipstick and on the other it has a lip gloss that matches.

Meaning you can create different looks with one product, genius! After swatching and testing these out on my lips I can tell you that, in my opinion, the matte lipstick is matt but its one that doesn't feel dry on the lips and packs lots of pigmentation in just one swipe.

The gloss i find is non sticky meankng it feels comfortable on my lips and to say its a gloss its actually very pigmented, much more than I thought it would be.
so for £3 you get a matte lipstick and a gloss with lots of pigmentation, bargin!

The colours I picked up are, Coral Pink and Pink Candy. Soon I hope to buy some more shades, I love this product and would definitely recommend trying it out!

Favorite Body Lotions

Here is a little post about some of my favourite body creams :)

First up, Along came betty Cream of all creams! Now the brand "along came betty" id like Tescos version of Soap & Glory. This glides on to the skin with ease and doesn't feel greasy as its formula is light.

Ferne body lotion, I LOVE them smell of this! As soon as you pop the lid open youre senses are hit with a lovely vinilla musk sent, mmm yummy!

Last but not least is the Vintage Rose body lotion, I really enjoy using rose sented products. As I find tgem to br very light and refreshing but you can still smell the scent? If that makes sense? Anyway, I like this one a lot
too :)

Make up revolution haul!!

Here are a few goodies I picked up from the wonderful brand Makeup Revolution!

Vivid Baked Highlighter
Picked up my sage in Golden Lights, as this shade I thought looked more of a natural highlighting colour. This gives a lovely pearlescent finish to the skin.

Ultra Bronze
This gives a lovely contoured look to my face without it looking dirty or orange. Just a nice subtle contour.

Lipstick:
I really wanted to give my lipstick collection a bit of an update and go for colours I wouldn't normally choose. So at £1 a pop I couldn't really go wrong and for a pound if I didn't like it, it doesn't matter :) I picked up two shades from the vamp collection Rebel with Cause and 100% vamp.

Nail Polish:
I picked up shades Heaven's above, a dark purple/plumb colour perfect for the fall and Emerald eyes a metallic dark green shade.

Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer
This is a very pigmented, high shine gloss. I got mine in Didn't I tell you? The fomrula is smooth and slick, not sticky at all and lasts for ages!

The One Foundation
I have been wanting to try out a very light coverage foundation for those "good skin days" where I don't want to put a full coverage foundation on. So this little beauty is perfect! I picked mine up in shade for and for a guess it suites my skin very well.

Focus and Fix Liquid Concealer
I needed a new under eye Conceler for those pesky dark circles, I have this in the shade 01 Fairest. This covers up well, doesn't crease and highlights my under eyes.

That's all for my Makeup Revolution haul, so far I am really impressed with the quality and the price of these products. I think I will be ordering a lot more from Makeup Revolution in the future :)

September Favourites!!

Here are the products I've been loving through tthe month of September.

Seventeen blemish BB balm
I am in love with the BB cream. It simply makes my skin look perfect! It illuminates, conceles, hydrates and minimise pores! Perfection in a tube!

Benefit they're real! Mascara
I've been wanting to try this mascara for a long time, so I finally brought the sample version to try it and see how I worked with it. I have to say, I was slightly sceptical at first and then all of a sudden after a few times using it the magic appeared. This makes my lashes look, longer, thinker and curved. Definitely will be investing in the regular version.

CollectIon blush in bashful
I like this blush because it isn't overly pigmented, which may sound strange. But...when you are slightly heavy handed a very pigmented blush can make me look like a clown. This blush gives a healthly natural flush of colour.

MUA Luxe London velvet lip lacquer in Halcyon
The texture of this lip product is very velvety and dries to a very very Matt finish. Therefore, latest for ages and is very pigmented. The colour of Halcyon is a muted red.

L'oreal Lumi Magique primer
This makes my skin look glowy and full of life. Love this stuff, prolongs foundation or BB cream and helps to minimise pores.

Collection work the colour lip butter in Vintage Rose
This being a lip butter is so smooth and creamy on my lips, it leaves my lips feeling baby soft whilst adding a pop of colour!

Does anyone know of a good dewy foundation? If so, I'd really appreciate suggestions :)
